Mr Kapil Mahajan is our founding Managing Partner. He has more than 19 years of experience advising multinational clients on Indian corporate and commercial laws. In his professional journey as a corporate and commercial lawyer, he has advised clients on various aspects of company law, foreign exchange law, competition law, securities law, employment and labour law, data privacy law, and anti-bribery law.
He specialises in PE and M&A, including private equity minority investments, buyouts, platform deals, cross-border M&A, and joint ventures. He has helped many companies streamline and implement good corporate governance measures at different levels of organisation.

While executing transactions on behalf of clients, he has led teams conducting due diligence on target companies and negotiating transaction documents.
His clients appreciate his insights into resolving legal challenges and greatly benefit from his advice on corporate restructuring, particularly his emphasis on investment vehicles and options.
He graduated in Commerce (B. Com) from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He completed the Master’s in Law (LLM) at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). He holds the Associate Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS).
Before forming LEX AJIA ADVISORS, he worked at DUA ASSOCIATES for over 10 years, rising all the way from Associate to Partner. Before joining DUA ASSOCIATES, he served as in-house counsel and compliance officer at Spice Telecom.
